Quantitative research: Comprehensive Plan Town Survey

ROLE: Member of the Comprehensive Plan Committee

CHALLENGE: Revise the town's Comprehensive Plan to by including the current perspectives and opinions of property owners and residents regarding the present condition and future prospects of Lexington, NY.

PROCESS: Survey Monkey was used to create a 28 question survey that included ranking, linkert and open text questions. A response rate of 45% gave us ample data to develop a SWOT analysis and create a series of vision boards that were used for further in-person feedback at public events.

OUTCOME: Collected feedback was used as input to update the 10 year Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Lexington. The final plan was approved by the Town Board in September 2024.
